I have officially fired myself as graphic designer. Hiring a pro. Won’t lighten my load considerably, but it will help and give me the polished look I’ve been longing for and give me back the 6 hours it takes me to design a postcard.
I’m throwing in the towel with a big smile on my face! I am overwhelmed and I’m not afraid to admit it. I owe a big THANK YOU to my friend and fellow blogger, Andrea Casarsa, for helping me come to this realization yesterday and pointing me to this insightful article. (I hope she will be a guest blogger on here for me one day and lighten my load for a week. She’s very entertaining. You’ll love her.)
You may have noticed (or not) that I haven’t blogged in a mighty long time, despite repeated promises to myself and my readers and the very best of intentions. (Like I said, overwhelmed.) I am in a constant debate about what to blog about and which direction to take my blog. And I never make time to focus on it. As of right now, I am done making promises other than to say I have a renewed commitment to my blog. (And to wearing eyeliner–see pointless photo above. But that’s neither here nor there.)
Despite the experts telling me I need to blog about jewelry exclusively, I am taking my chances and branching out. Those who know me well, know I have a million different interests and hobbies and if I could open my blog up to talk about those things too, I’d have so much more to say. So my plan is to combine those topics with my entrepreneurial journey and twists on my mundane life chronicals. Oh, and jewelry too. Stay tuned and thanks for hanging in there with me–at least until the day I can fire myself as blogger.
